How do I share a PDF without creating an account?
Use the anonymous burner upload on the homepage. Drop your PDF into the upload area, get a secure link, and share it. No account needed. The link expires after 24 hours and you get a temporary analytics dashboard. You can claim ownership by signing up before the link expires.
What happens if I forget my vault password?
Your vault password encrypts your document names and links locally. PdfWatch does not store it — this is part of the zero-knowledge design. If you lose it, encrypted filenames and share links cannot be recovered. Store your vault password in a password manager. Your documents remain in storage but will be inaccessible without the original link.
How do I revoke access to a document?
Go to your dashboard, find the document, and click Revoke. The encrypted file is permanently deleted from our storage and the link immediately stops working. This cannot be undone.
Can PdfWatch read my documents?
No. Your document is encrypted in your browser before upload. The decryption key lives only in your share link and is never transmitted to our servers. We are architecturally incapable of reading your files.
How do I upgrade to Pro?
Go to your dashboard Settings page and click Upgrade to Pro. You will be redirected to the secure checkout. After payment, your account is upgraded instantly.
What is the difference between the free plan and Pro?
The free plan allows up to 3 active documents with real-time tracking and heatmaps. Pro ($9/month) gives you unlimited documents, 1-year retention, full analytics history, viewer location data, per-page time analytics, engagement scoring, and a real-time viewing indicator.
